Followup To The Janis Ian Article

from the more-smart-thinking dept

It’s so rare to hear someone talk reasonably about the whole issue of downloading music, that when a reasonable voice comes along, let’s hope they keep talking. Following the Janis Ian article from last month that got so much attention, she’s written another excellent followup discussing some of the ideas that have been brought up following the massive attention her first article received. She also puts up a “modest” proposal for record companies to experiment with, which could lead to a solution for the massive gap they seem to have between what they want to offer and what their customers want. Worth reading over a few times.
