Canada Is Key To The New Iridium

Iridium, everyones favorite wireless flop, is slowly but surely rising from the ashes. Instead of going after global travelers, which are more likely to turn to GSM networks, the new Iridium is targetting workers in remote locations. And apparently Canada has a lot of workers in mining, forestry and the military who aren’t serviced by existing wired or wireless networks. In fact CEO Gino Picasso believes Canada maybe Iridium’s best market on a per-capita basis.
