Motient Lays Of 30% Of Workforce
Newly emerged from banrkuptcy, it seems that Motient isn’t yet back on solid footing. Today they’ve announced that they’re laying off 94 people, which is 29% of their staff. Yet, even that won’t help them get much closer to profitability. The company is clearly struggling, and doesn’t seem to have much of a future as the various 2.5G and 3G wireless systems finally come online.
