Looking Back On Life At VA Linux
from the those-were-the-days dept
Salon has an article talking to a number of ex-employees of VA Linux. Unlike employees of many other failed tech companies, the VA Linux folks don’t seem quite so bitter. For the most part, they say that they miss working at a company with a bunch of really smart people who were fun to work with. They regret the “mismanagement” that led to the company’s troubles, and most seem to think if they had never IPO’d the company would still be in a much stronger position today. But, the IPO, combined with investors who kept pushing the company to grow without thinking of the potential downsides, caused too many problems.

if the firm never IPO’ed , theyd have been jobless 3 years ago. Clueless tekkies are a thing of pity.
