The Mobile Payment Forum is an industry trade group founded by credit card companies Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB to develop standard for secure mobile payments. Today they announced 5 new board members, 4 of which are actual mobile operators. They have over 100 members but taking a quick look at the membership list you get the idea that everyone but carriers is interested in mobile payments. With the new board members there are a total of 11 mobile operators involved.
