ReplayTV Not Forced To Spy On Users

from the well,-that's-good dept

Could it be? Another legal decision that actually makes sense. A judge has said that SonicBlue shouldn’t be forced to spy on their ReplayTV users. The article here doesn’t do much to explain the reasoning behind the decision, so I’m assuming it’s the obvious reasons – that a company shouldn’t be forced to spy on their users when they’ve promised not to.
