BT To Offer WiFi ISP In The UK Despite Commercial Ban
from the gearing-up dept
BT has announced that their planning to set up a WiFi ISP in the UK so that people can connect from various places wirelessly using their 802.11b cards. The one problem: the UK bans commercial use of the spectrum. BT says they’re going to push ahead, believing that the ban will be lifted by June. Seems like it could be a lot of work just to find out that you can’t actually offer the service.
