Congressman Tries To Speed Up CBDTPA Passage

from the oh-god,-no dept

This is really getting ridiculous. Who are these people who seem to think that it’s ok to treat all consumers as if they’re criminals? I haven’t seen a single newspaper article or column (other than those written by entertainment industry execs) expressing support for the CBDTPA. At the very least we had some time until the damn thing might have passed, but now a freshman representative in the House of Representatives is looking to introduce a similar bill in the House which could speed up the process that would make it a law, and do incredible harm to the US’s technology industry, as well as to the rights of its citizens. I recommend you head on over to DigitalConsumer.org and fill out your name and address where they’ll fax your representative and senators.
