Universe Is Beige, Not Turquoise

from the phew dept

Ok. When it was announced a couple months ago that the “true” color of the universe was “turquoise”, I thought the whole thing was a little silly. But, now it turns out that the scientists behind the study were wrong – which makes the story that much more amusing. That’s right. The universe is not at all turquoise, but beige. Turns out they had a software bug that made the beige seem turquoise. In other words, we were looking at the universe with a color blind computer to determine the real color. Oops. So, for those of you who were building your new wardrobe around the color of the universe, time to start over again. Update: It occurs to me that I should have said (jokingly, of course) that this proves that God uses PCs and not iMacs… (it’s a joke, laugh).
