We’ve spoken before about some different plans for rapid transit systems that all seem to involve individual pods as opposed to mass transit systems. The systems we spoke about in the past also involved cars that would get off the track and become ordinary street cars as well – so you could have the best of both worlds. Of course, those were all theoretical. Some folks in the UK are working on an actual mass transit system using unmanned pods that will take you where you want to go. They have to run on preset tracks, however, so they’re not as advanced as those other systems.
