Major League Baseball To Test Streaming Video

from the it's-about-time dept

I’ve been annoyed that no one has tried to do streaming video of baseball games, but now it seems that Major League Baseball is getting ready to test it out next season. Of course, they’ll charge money, and there will probably be all sorts of technical problems (they never did get all the kinks worked out when it came to the streaming audio). However, if it actually works well and if they offer enough of the games and if it doesn’t cost too much and if I actually have broadband access that works… it might be a reasonable solution to being 3,000 miles away from the only sports team I actually care about. If not, I may finally have to look into the DirecTV package that lets you get most baseball games.
