WebMD Hands Out Golden Parachutes

from the when-will-companies-learn? dept

Yet another example of executives driving a company into the ground and getting rewarded for it. The former President of WebMD will be getting $1 million a year for the next three years despited the fact that the company is struggling to survive his time running the company. Shareholders should sue the board for creating such a deal – which is clearly not in their best interests. I understand that some companies think that’s what it takes to hire a good CEO – but a good CEO should be confident enough in his abilities that he doesn’t need a guaranteed $3 million even after he screws up.
