The Spam Spoils Of War
from the how-spammers-adapt-to-war dept
I’ve been getting plenty of spam offering me all sorts of gas masks and cures for anthrax these days. I’m amazed at how quickly these spammer adjust to what’s going on in the world. Salon takes a look at how spam and commercialism reflect what’s happening in the United States at any point in time. It’s something of a wandering article, but makes some good points. The fact is, many Americans are trying to find ways to get gas masks, or get a supply of Cipro (even if that’s a silly idea). So, the spammers reflect reality. Of course, I’m still waiting to get the spam that tells me of their great product that prevents you from receiving any more spam.
