The Death Of Broadband

from the ah,-my-saga dept

I’ve seen this article talked about in a few other places, but it’s really good and worth posting here as well. The latest Cringely column talks about the “death” of broadband. Basically, he says no one can make any money offering broadband, and the whole industry is collapsing. I’m not sure I believe that means that broadband is dead. Customers certainly like broadband. All this means is that we’re going to have to wait until better, more creative solutions for broadband access come along. I still think that the death of broadband may be my fault. I am the touch of death to broadband providers. It seems that even if I just call a broadband service provider to find out what they’re offering, they go out of business.
