Handheld Porn

from the i-should-have-realized dept

Silly me. Last night I posted a story about video on wireless devices saying that I couldn’t think of any compelling apps for users. Of course, I forgot the most popular one, which has driven adoption of VCRs and the internet: porn. The LA Times is looking at the wireless porn industry as if it’s definitely going to be a huge deal. I’m not convinced, though. Is there really a huge market for people looking at tiny of screens of bad pornography? Maybe I just underestimate some people’s need for pornography in any form. The LA Times article makes it sound as though everyone is going to be spending all their free time staring down at naked people dancing around on their cell phones.
