Blackberry Style Keyboard For Your PDA
from the how-small-is-your-keyboard? dept
There have been a few different attempts at making keyboards for PDAs, and the current foldable model is pretty popular (and looks fairly usable). Now, a company is making a tiny two thumb keyboard that will attach to PDAs. It looks very similar to the keyboards used for Blackberry devices. Most people I know who use a Blackberry like that keyboard a lot. Of course, part of the reason it works is the form factor of the device. If you add a huge PDA to the top of it, I could see it becoming a bit unwieldy.

Used it
I tried that keyboard recently at PCEXPO and it works OK, but it does make the Visor clunky. Still its more convenient than the other PDA keyboard options.
Chatboard on an Ericsson phone
I’ve got an Ericsson Chatboard on my R289LX phone. It plugs into the bottom of the phone and can be used anywhere text entry is needed; addressbook, SMS and web access. $39US as an add-on. Works pretty well but has yet another form of key layout.
