Portable Keyboards

from the going-lower-tech dept

The NY Times (free registration required) has an article reviewing a number of “smart keyboards”. These are basically inexpensive, lightweight, durable word processing machines. They look like the could be very useful for someone who has to write a lot, to be used in conjunction with a real computer. I still remember when lots of people used to just own those “Brother” word processing machines before PCs were really popular for everyone. These basically look like slimmed down versions of those. Of course, I still think a PDA and a foldout keyboard is probably more functional and more portable.
