Tinkerers Like To Soup Up Gadgets
from the what-a-surprise dept
Not exactly sure what the point of this article is, but it talks about how geeks nowadays love to tinker with digital devices (like Tivos and CueCats) rather than radios and cars. Some companies don’t mind, others seem to mind quite a bit. Some people say that tinkerers drove I-opener out of business. The article also paints Digital Convergence as being a big supporter of the tinkerers, but I seem to remember them flipping out over some of the original hacks, and threatening to sue or something.
