How Much Would You Pay To Keep Inside.com In Business?

from the well,-at-least-they're-involving-their-readers dept

Inside.com (recently bought by Brill’s Content) has never hidden their plans to charge for content at some point. Brill himself has been pretty outspoken in the idea that not charging for content is stupid. Now, they’ve taken the step of asking their readers what they’d be willing to pay. I guess it could be seen as market research, but it feels like blackmail. How much are you willing to pay? If it’s not enough, we take the site out back and shoot it. The article linked here points out that Inside conveniently forgets to remind the readers that many of the top staffers from Inside left after the merger. Why bother with the little trivialities like that?
