PR Firms Tell Dot Com Clients To Shut Up

from the save-yourselves,-be-quiet dept

Remember when PR firms would do anything to get their clients in the news? Those days are apparently over. PR firms are telling their dot com companies to stay quiet – because the only news reporters seem interested in reporting is bad news. Most of this article focuses on SparkPR, which is amusing, since they were always one of the most blatant overhyping machines out there. Every time there was a company that appeared to be all hype and no substance, they seemed to have SparkPR as their agency. It’s funny that they’re apparently not following their own advice – as now there’s news about them, and I don’t think it’s all that flattering. I guess it’s tough to change old habits.
