Why is it So Easy to Steal Domains?

Ever since we started Techdirt, one of the more popular topics has been why Network Solutions is stupid. They have continually been one of the more clueless companies to come out of the whole internet space. There’s nothing new in stories about domain hijacking’s, but Wired is running a story talking about some of the more recent cases where Network Solutions screwed up completely, but won’t admit to doing anything wrong (of course).
