Startup wins $5 million in funding.

from the regis-has-this-whole-country-going-insane dept

Ok.. I think that this whole “millionaire” craze is getting out of hand. At Red Herring’s Venture Market South converence, SingleShop.com walked away with $5 million in funding after competing against 44 other startup companies in a mock Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. At first I thought that they were asking at least relevant questions like “What is your business model?” (is that your final answer?), but they were just asking industry trivia.. Geez. I thought that the silly “marry a millionaire” was the extreme, but this is getting ridiculous.
