DVD Taking Off

After years of speculation as to whether or not DVDs would catch on, it appears, they have officially been accepted. Apparently, sales were more than double what the original projections for 1999 were.

They looked at my Christmas list (a family tradition), and said “what’s DVD?”

It kind of surprised me, since I’ve known about DVD for years and years, and they sell them in mainstream department stores.

Now if only they’ll hit the collector’s market with boxed sets of the original Star Trek, or maybe Babylon 5…
