The phone saga continues

In what looks like yet another set back to Vodaphone’s bid for Mannesman, a german phone company, Hutchison Whampoa (one of Mannesman’s largest shareholders) came out against the buyout. One of the reasons stated was that the company thought Mannesman was better positioned than Vodaphone and could therefore offer better long term opportunities to it’s shareholders by staying independent of Vodaphone.
