A long article from News.com about how AOL’s Open Directory (formerly, Netscape’s Open Directory, before which it was NewHoo) may soon be launching services that compete with Ask Jeeves, and local guides. Of course, AOL won’t comment, and the sites they might be targeting give the usual “we’re not scared, no really” answers.
