Yahoo Taxi Cabs

from the more-purple-cars dept

Apparently, Yahoo has set up some Yahoo Taxi Cabs in San Francisco complete with a laptop computer and wireless internet connections so you can surf while you travel the hilly streets of SF. I like the concept. Apparently, they’ve painted the cars in Yahoo’s colors so they’re easily recognizable. Right now there are only 10 of them, but they plan to have more. I guess these are the beta cabs.

um. my ricochet doesn't work when i'm moving.

Great idea, but um… my Ricochet modem doesn’t work very well if i’m going above like 15 miles per hour.. Doesn’t that make it kind of useless? Traffic’s not THAT bad.. Maybe with the rollout of “Ricochet II”, they’ve improved stuff… I honestly haven’t tried recently.
