Network Solutions Wants Money Upfront

from the policy-changes dept

Only six years after they should have done something Network Solutions is requiring money upfront for domains. This is to prevent the squatters who buy up a ton, without paying for them, hoping to sell them off. I hope this also means that they’re looking to change just about everything about what they do. For instance, isn’t it about time they let you “manage” your domains via a web page, rather than the silly emails that have to go back and forth to get anything done, and which no one understands? Anyway, some people think the timing of the decision is questionable. I agree. They should have done this years ago.
