Mattel Buys Purple Moon

A month after Purple Moon shut its doors and said it was out of business along comes Mattel to buy ’em out. It was a surprise last month that no one bought them, and that they had gone out of business, but I guess Mattel was just waiting until they were really really desperate. Combine this with Mattel’s purchase of The Learning Company/Broderbund, and Mattel’s got a pretty damn complete software offering.
