Citrix Suing Coors in Trademark Dispute

from the I-think-they-just-want-free-beer dept

Citrix, the software maker, is suing Coors, the beer maker. Apparently Coors is starting to make Zima Citrix, an extension of their Zima product line. Coors claims theirs no brand dilution in their use of the name, Citrix disagrees. I’m undecided. I don’t think, however, that it’s really going to hurt Citrix in the long term to be associated with a fruity alcoholic brew. With the success Zima’s been having lately, I somehow doubt Zima Citrix will last that long anyway. Maybe they should work on some sort of co-marketing agreement…
