  I rather hope the trials take long enough to spin up that vigilantism deals with most of them. Any prison not located in a neighbourhood called Evin would be about twenty thousand orders of magnitude too lenient for what they've already done to the US alone, never mind the rest of the world. Fascists neither give nor deserve quarter. At the very least, they need to be made scared shitless to exist again, as they should have remained.

  I've been watching F1 for decades. I'd be confused, too, for aroundabout the time it'd take a few synapses to fire and dots to connect. I wouldn't in a million years conflate the two, nor would I assume two very different-looking logos were the same brand, because why the shit would anyone ever deliberately muddle their own branding? I can easily see someone tiredly scrolling some news after work on a Friday evening, seeing a "blue F1 logo" (or the obverse) and doing a double-take, but I can't see how anyone actually familiar with either brand would not come to the correct conclusion within half a second of active consideration. I get less and less keen on the damn sport with every passing year since Liberty took over and started doing exactly what I knew they would do, and are doing.

  Yeah, I know. I'd imagine every single diplomat in the whole world agrees with you, too, but even if they don't, states will still have to plan with contingencies in place for betrayal, extortion, reneging on whatever-the-fuck, etc. The Netherlands and UK are already limiting what intel they share with their US' counterparts, for example. That's the UK -- closest ally of 80 years, and Five-Eyes member -- effectively saying the US is no longer a reliable or trustworthy partner, because it doesn't want to be implicated in what the whole damn world knows are murders, in the Caribbean. Simply switching out the administration is not going to fix this, whoever helms it.

  When the enemy in front of me is a fascist? Fucking yes, I would do anything up to and including die, rather than bow to vermin in suits. Why? They'll kill me eventually anyway, because I don't care enough about life to stay quiet in the face of something that is completely anathema to my entire being. It helps I have family who cowered in fear of German bombers overhead during the war. I have absolutely no patience for nazi/fascist rats, or anything or anyone enabling them. They are trash to be burned.

  Reports I've read mentioning literacy/numeracy over yonder suggest to me there's a non-zero chance they did indeed not know how percentages work. Hell, take a look at these numbers, for literacy (2024-2025):

  • 21% of adults in the US are illiterate in 2024.
  • 54% of adults have a literacy below a 6th-grade level (20% are below 5th-grade level).
  • Low levels of literacy costs the US up to 2.2 trillion per year.
  • 34% of adults lacking literacy proficiency were born outside the US.
