Lowering pricing to a more reasonable price range would make too much sense for these businesses. If they started selling games at a more achievable price range for the average household, say $20-30 they would sell far more volume and probably make even more profit.
Keeping pricing over $50 ensures people buy fewer games, pirate more of them. Or wait until the price has dropped so abysmally low there's no profit to be made from them at all.
How do they even run a business with this kind of losing business practice?
I remember seeing a text viewer back in 1992 that would open up text files and make them scroll past you in one smooth motion, and when you hit the bottom of the file it would... bounce!!! OMG!!!
Apple is such a troll.
I've tried to abandon Windows and jump to Linux. Until ALL my games work on Linux however, I simply can't do that. I don't want to spend 2 hours per game just getting the damn thing running on it. So until then, I guess I'm stuck with Windows 7. Which is fine with me.
So I guess Europe is still in the middle of the dark ages. Good to know, I'll be sure to wear my chainmail when I go visit. Hope I can get my broadsword on a plane.
Ain't happening in Canada either, not as far as I know. This is the first I've heard of it.
Truth is, we cut cable because the bill was getting too high, and with Netflix and the internet... you can find pretty much everything out there that cable provides anyways.
I don't normally care for the church. But such vampirism from little old lady... I like the picture you paint with the black hole thing. May that happen to every single copyright parasite out there.
I'm sorry, maybe it's the migraine I have today. But what's the bottom line here? Are ebook prices finally going to come down from the ridiculous prices they're at these days? A brand new ebook that's on the new release shelf should NOT be $10.00 each. Is this going to change?
That's all I care about.
He speaks truth. I scuttle from Air Conditioning to Air Conditioning since about June. And winter was shockingly short up here. I think we got snowfall for maybe only 3 months here in Southern Alberta.
Gotta love religion. It always comes before freedom.
And you gotta love it more when your country's politics are heavily influenced by a Church.
Way to Orthodoxy - yet more reasons to despise you.
Who the heck is this ElectaGraham? She certainly seems to be, if not instigating this, fanning the flames of it. What a bitch.
Seriously, why is there any discussion about this? Making subtitles accessible is simply a visual component to the video. Some people get along fine hearing the dialogue, some of us don't. Subtitles should be PART of the package.
And hey, if you don't provide it, we WILL get it from somewhere else.
First off, I hate sports. Secondly, I hate it when people use IP and copyright to basically club everyone to death. The Olympics appear to be the most vocal and vigorous offenders. I'd personally LOVE to put an Ad out there of me shitting on the olympic flag just to let them know how much I care about their precious IP.
If they keep this up, I won't be the only one feeling this way.
Actually, a friend of mine loved Tetris so much he LOVED helping people move. He would arrange all their crap on the moving van so as to maximize space. Pretty violent eh?
Indeed. 5,000 men... why not just stick your dick in a urinal and swish it around a little? Ew. ew. ew.
Oh - and I AM a writer, and if my book gets pirated I'll be cheering!
I think my family will start a "shitalympics" and see who can shit the most in 24 hours. How's that for denigrating your stupid ass games?
I don't get it, is it really that hard to port this app over to Android? At least THERE no one could block it from being distributed. Hell, it could probably continue to being used no matter WHAT the courts decided. Why anyone hangs their hat on the Apple platform when they continue to hold customers and developers hostage to their whims is beyond me.
Every cop the world over should be acting as if their every action is under public scrutiny. They're servants of the public. Unfortunately, so often, the police has been compared to a legalized mafia. And is it any wonder many of us think of them as such?
Re: Meanwhile, the US murders children in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dude... you lost me, I don't know what your point was...
