Took me over five years and an attorney to get the USDA National Organic Program to release request FOIA documents. The USDA went from "no responsive documents" to over 10,000 pages. Among other things they were hiding was the fact that most USDA Organic foods coming from California and certified by CCOF were grown using synthetic fertilizers from 2000 till 2009 and that synthetic fertilizers usage was know since 2004 yet nothing was done.

reformating doesn't wipe your data. Usually all a reformat does is clear tables (makes the O/S thinks the blocks are clean) so they will be overwritten as needed.

For example, the CIA, in 1963, published a manual, the KUBARK Counterintelligence Interrogation manual exploring everything they'd learned. In this manual, the CIA stated that the best methods for extracting information from detainees come not through the infliction of physical pain or torture, but through psychological torture.
It's potentially dangerous gases that a fire could release. One can die of carbon monoxide, toxic fumes from a petrochemical curtain, etc without having a big fire or a spreading fire. Most people are long dead from the fumes given off during a fire before the fire reaches them.
But seriously, does this mean that if Bain buys a company that holds a patent for the gene that gave me blue eyes, they can sue me and my children for patent infringement?
If genes are patentable than would the act of procreation be in violation of patent laws if the child is born with the patented gene(s)?
If I assign my rights to my genes away, as the Mayo Clinic has asked me to, what rights to those same genes do my children, who inherited the genes from me, have?

It the people that own/run the corporations that have more rights than individuals. Corporations are nothing more than aprons which serve to protect the wealth and power of the 1%. That's the "beauty" of being a limited liability corporation; do as you want to rip off, or even kill and maim, people, keep the profits and let the corporation take the blame.
Ah, but Congress has always given a shit -- that's why those "incentives" keep coming! Keep coming to themselves, their partners, their cronies and, most importantly, their overlords. Congress has always given a shit; a shit to make sure that they themselves are well cared for.
Actually the fed's lawsuit was very effective against Microsoft and would have been even more effective had the Bush administration not dropped it. Apple would not be where it is today, (most likely there would be no Apple,) without the fed lawsuit as the tactic Gates employed would have driven Apple out of business just as countless of other companies with superior technology were. Apple was used by MS for a very long time to justify it's untrue claim of not being a monopoly and that is why Apple survived in it's niche.
I can't help but wonder if this is not part of the secret agreement that Obama reached with big pharma when he first came into office. This is going to hurt a lot of people who can't afford to buy their medications in the US and benefit only the people that own big pharma.
Here's my reason and the same applies to other people I know:
Using Google to find a reputable Canadian pharmacy was the only way I could afford to get my prescription filled. Insurance refused to cover it as it was off-label use (never mind all the studies I provided them as to it's efficacy, the fact my doctor prescribed it, and the fact it is working.) The one pill per day I am on would cost me $18 per pill about half my disability pay whereas the MSRP on the box I get from the Canadian pharmacy is $0.14 per pill (a markup of $17.86 above the generic list price.) And I must mention that the drug is off patent so it should be "inexpensive" but the company that makes the drug paid off the generic drug makers to not import the drug into the US.
Thank you Google for helping me get my needed medications at an affordable price.
You gotta be kidding. A girl is RAPED!!! and you say she should quit the cheerleader squad; the boy should not have been allowed to continue playing varsity sports as he admitted to assaulting the girl. "She could've moved to another school." Why -- she did nothing wrong.
Get something straight here -- this girl is the victim of a most horrific crime yet she is the one being punished while the perpetrator/rapist barely had his hand slapped and is allowed to continue as though nothing happened.
