Most ebooks I've bought on either Amazon or B&N don't have ISBN's at all -- they have ASN's on Amazon, and EAN's on B&N. Is it really something to worry about anymore?
Probably, but does it honestly matter? I honestly think that such a club as the Senate sometimes gets together and decides which guy is going to be the "fall guy" (take the blame for opposing popular legislation that no one wants to be seen actively opposing but all have reservations against), even in situations where it's done discretely, like this.
I don't get it -- that's actually a nice likeness. I'd almost consider getting one for an Apple fan. Is Apple jealous that they didn't "invent" it first?
I'm finding it curious why Intel put time and effort into verifying that the key was cracked -- do they have some sort of competing DRM technology they're about to try and start marketing? : What's their payoff?
This has nothing to do with Rights, and everything to do with Berlusconi not wanting more vidoes of him being hit in the face with minatures uploaded to Youtube.
If they can make it difficult enough for Youtube, they'll either pull out, or give the Italian PM the control he wants.
I think a lot to do with why Wikileaks continues to use Paypal is because a lot of stuff you can do there is anonymous, which wouldn't be the case with a regular banks.
I imagine a lot of people who do business with Wikileaks are the kind of people who don't want to be known.
I think these parody videos have been great -- I never would've gone out and actually rented out the real movie (which is actually a great movie) had it not been for these parodies.
The photos were registered with the US Copyright office because all "leaks" like this are just agent-created publicity stunts. The same goes for Paris Hilton's old video and, well, everything else involving sex, videos, or "celebrities."
Isn't this pretty much just Linux Mint? I thought the whole point of the OS was to make it easier for people to adopt Linux when coming from a Windows background.
I tell you one thing that Spore has excelled at -- I'm never again paying $50 or even $40 for a new game ever again. Biggest damn waste of money I ever spent.
Even with all the fun that my friends are having with Left 4 Dead, I'm waiting it out to see if it'll still be fun two months from now. If so, I'll buy it discounted.

Seriously, quite a few decisions are still made in American with regard to religion. Not necessarily _controlled_ by religion, but definitely made with the religious voting block in mind.

Well, you probably needed a new computer for a lot more reasons than just Spore, then -- I'm running spore on old hardware: Athlon 64 2800 cpu (4+ yrs old), ATI X700 video card (4+ yrs old), 1 GB RAM, and it all works zippy without any slowdown. ;)
