It's the UK. Don't they still use truncheons over there?
If you extrapolate that paragraph to another popular situation covered hereat length on TechDirt: Sounds like the NY Times is, if somewhat unintentionally, morally against such claims by ACTA proponents that certain parts of ACTA will not affect US law, amongst anecdotal evidence that the "international obligations" contained within will in effect "lock" them in.
Oh wait. Is this an admission that bloggers are, infact, journalists and therefore covered under the same guidelines as journalists such as not being made to give up their sources?
So what's going to happen when the world finally gets sick of their (collection agencies, industry lobyists) crap and ditches their content in favor of cheaper (or free) content with more reasonable licensing terms?
Who are they going to compain to because their artists works aren't being heard? The government? How exactly will they argue that one? Will they ask the government to then force venues to play their content so they can continue collecting revenue? Or will they then be forced to concede they were wrong to begin with and remove the barriers they have themselves put up in order to get their artists works to be consumed?
Loose? Perhaps they should have had tighter control.
Better than being broke and starving ;)
Slightly incorrect. In fact it was the only the final episode of season 6 that was filmed entirely on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR.

Also, if I walk into a sandwich shop and purchase a sandwich and with the purchase, the clerk says, "Here is a card, if you buy 10 sandwiches and get the card stamped, the 11th is on the house. Here is some cards for your friends as well."
If I hand those to my friends and say, "the sandwiches here are great, you should try them out and if you get 10 sandwiches, the 11th is free." is that not word of mouth? Of course it is!
Reading comprehension fail...

Oh joy, we have one too. Seriously i've never heard of this organisation before now. I am ashamed for my country.
I shall endeavour to inform my friends they can't all die at once, lest I miss some of their funerals. Seriously some people just fail at the internet.
Frankly i'm far more concerned by people who play The Sims.
Yeah, on that note, I just went and had a look at that story to see what the fuss was about AND BOY does techdirt not play nice when people get into a nested conversation.
After about 10 nested responses they just turn into one-word-per-line replys that take a couple of flicks with the scroll wheel to read. That's pretty poor site design.
How to Suck at the Internet

If done properly, such as the links in articles here on TD, renamed links can be perfectly complementary to an article. Anyone who thinks otherwise should only ever write with a quill and feather.
