New Yorker here. He won the Dem primary because nobody could rally around better candidates so he was the last one standing. He won the general because the Republic was worse and NYC is Dem territory. Does that make any sense?
Gameplay Mechanics can't be trademarked, true, but "[Character] Party" may possibly be trademarked as a video game, so I can see some confusion there.
The First Amendment problems are key hereNot to mention the US constitution's ban against bills of attainder (unless I'm mistaken, I am no lawyer).
Fair enough.
It's a no-win situation for trans folks in Florida, who are basically confined to house arrest based on the fact their gender identity isn't the one that was assigned to them at birth.
Artists weren't the ones who said that, the producers/labels/studio execs did. They just claimed to speak on behalf of "Artists".
While Steamboat Willie is in the Public Domain, Mario Party is not, and both of them are, in fact, trademarked. Good thing Benjamin Gray is not selling this, otherwise he would run afoul of the lawyers of two extremely litigious children's entertainment corporations.
America is for Americans–not guatemaltecos, for example. What tribe do you belong to? If you're not Native, Go back to where you come from.

So, denying that the US, that great defender of capitalism, hasn’t commited their fair share of war crimes and crimes against humanity since at least 1945?I'd say the US' commission of war crimes goes further back. Like WAY further back.

I think part of why games like the Touhou Project and the Five Nights at Freddy’s series have vibrant and extremely dedicated communities is that the people who created the base games are very permissive with what people can do.It all started with Doom (1993). The reason why that game is still being modified to this day (even by the original level designer) shows that user-modification extends the life cycle of video games far beyond its commercial life.
Given your PFP and your handle, you must be thrilled that Steamboat Willie is in the public domain. I certainly am!
Seeing Mickey Mouse in the public domain makes me happy as a clam, because of all the great things we get out of it!
