  Amazon has jumped the shark

  They bent over for the Texas AG, they are in the news for screwing up big time with the gun for TV thing. Now this. They have gone from my vendor of choice to my vendor of last resort. I doubt I'm alone in this.

  Let's see; out right breaking and entering, theft of property, burglary. They took this data/ equipment without legal basis and now are playing Bonnie and Clyde crossing into Oklahoma and flipping off the authorities on the other side of the border.

  From the beginning like wolfenstein 3d, and Need for speed 1-3
  the games were so so until the modders got hold of them. I remember the delight of creating your own levels on Wolf 3d, or having a monster truck that went 200 mph in Need for speedIII.

  Kind of like the no call list. Politicians and charities are exempt, so it's just a no business call list. Better by a damn site, but still very short of a total win for consumers.

  Good idea, except they would need a forklift to move them around. I guess if the engineers really applied themselves it could be as easy as driving over an automated pit. That would make refueling comparable to a fill-up with a gas car.

  I think even a sign-up wall changes the category. Wen you are used to just clicking through, not really caring who the real-estate belongs to, and you are required to sign-up for a free or other account, the whole process comes to a grinding halt. I for one would have to need that information very badly to take time to register, let alone pay. There is always another, free/open source, and it is just a click or 2 down the information highway

  Sounds like a way to push dull reading

  The authors I like write page turners, that cost me sleep & time I didn't intend to give to reading. I often try new authors mainly because I've read everything my favorites have written. If I find myself on week 2 with only a couple of chapters read, I pull my book mark and give it away. In this case I might not even be able to do that, and would end up with an expensive door stop.
