By no means am I ignoring that portion of this story. I agree they comitted fraud, and I would have no problem had they been arrested. I was just wondering why they needed to seize their PCs if WoW is centrally hosted in some data warehouse, not on WoW users' computers -- I just figured they could have gotten all the info they need from the Blizard server, and then arrested these people.
While the court investigates, or after the case is ruled upon, he should not be gagged. I don't understand, how can spreading knowledge ever be fought in the courts under these types of circumstances. He doesn't work for Sony, he didn't sign any agreements, and whatever ELA there was is not legally binding. Sharing knowledge is not the same as executing it. It's freedom of speech, people should be able to discuss whatever they want.
They'd only have to have a full time staff of 6300 people. 2100 hours of video are uploaded every hour, so that would be 2100 sets of eyes glued to the monitor for 8 hour shifts, 3 shifts a day since the video uploading madness never stops. Figure these people make CA minimum wage, $8/hour. Roughly 250 work days a year, times 8 hours per day, times $8 per hour, times 6300 video watchers = about 101 million dollars. It's completely reasonable for them to provide this type of protection for TV/Movie/Music industry... /s
People have been doing that for a long time. Some states limit the HP of engines for emissions, this can be gotten around with mod chips. Mod chips can significantly increase performance of cars adding a noticable ammount of horsepower hitting the road. A lot of cars don't perform as POWERFULLY as they can at the manufacturer's implemented handicap in order to keep mileage or weardown (for warranties) within certain limits.
That was the point of the title! Iran doesn't want G-mail, but the like the whole reading people's e-mails idea. The title was intended to be written that way... Grrr stupidity.

I live in upstate NY, about 30 minutes away from where the AMD plant is going to be built. They have re-designed and added roads and there has been extensive residential development. The addition of this plant should significantly stimulate the economy around the area, and no doubt some kind of contribution to the economy of the state.
So my friends, is it really such a strange move on NY's part? Now, with that said, I don't really think they have all that much of a case hence the fed not getting involved.
Most wrestling fan’s are pretty dumb, and while they don’t drink wine, they definitely put down a ton of beer -- that with an already low IQ… SOMMELIER SMACKDOWN WOOOOOO!!!!
Blu-Ray holds more data than HD DVDs. Therefore, HD DVDs are already antiquated, Blu-Ray is better. Congratulations Blu-Ray, you win! I don't understand why people can't understand that. The reason the inferior HD DVDs aren't out of the running at this point is because the consumer is already comfortable with the "DVD" name. If the consumer ever comes to realize this, bye bye HD DVD.

Did I Miss Something?
Maybe I missed something, but why were they raiding a home for virtual goods stored on computers, computers at WoW data center?
CENSORSHIP

FYI if you do a little searching it looks like he dropped the lawsuit
I understand they said that one thing...
...But didn't they mean another. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they ultimately take down that e-book?
We aren't allowed to photograph TSA molesting others, but they can take nude cancer-inducing photographs of every passenger?
Yeah, that makes sense /s
They can easily monitor that.

And unlike Allen, I’m not joking
It's Simple
