Senator Bashes Intel For Arguing Against Copy Protection

I guess today is moron politician day at Techdirt. The latest is some fun quotes from the Senate hearing yesterday about digital copy protection systems. When a representative from Intel spoke out against such systems saying they would hurt the technology market, Senator Hollings told them they were talking “nonsense”. There’s also a quote from our favorite person on the issue, Hillary Rosen from the RIAA, who points out that most consumers are (obviously) criminals pirating music, and there are just a few (very few) good souls who are using digital music for fair use.
