Widely used? Everyone’s dropping support for it. Sounds like a complete waste of money.
Java = Dead unsecured Language
Seriously. Why do you promote a Java language course? It is a security nightmare and being in the IT business for more than 30 years, I can’t think of a single company that utilizes java except for some old Cisco apps.
I know Techdirt is looking for other income streams, but please don’t promote a language that should be wiped off the face of the planet and forgotten.
“People don’t let others use Java”. Kill it with fire and bury it. #JustSayin
Re: Java = Dead unsecured Language
Whaaaaa? You no like version updates every week and dependencies on older versions that newer versions break and the myriad of security prompts that need to be answered correctly or they never pop up again although you have hit reset security prompts a million times. C’mon man that’s just fun stuff right there.
Re: It is a security nightmare
You are thinking of Java applets that run in the browser—an obsolete technology that some BigCorps™ still insist on using, along with Windows XP and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Java on its own is no more or less a “security nightmare” than any other language. Do you complain about C or C++ being a “security nightmare”? Would you say those languages were built for security?

Java applets in webpages are a security nightmare. But java is still widely used in developing software. I just did a quick search for job openings in a 30 mile radius around here and there are over 2000 java developer positions open:

So, uh, yeah. Java development is still very much in demand.

“So, uh, yeah. Java development is still very much in demand.”
Perhaps Allen Harkleroad still remembers back to the time 30 years ago when he was a young lad contemplating a lifetime career that Cobol and Fortran were “still very much in demand.”
I Don’t Think Anybody Uses Java For Much Any More ...
… outside of development for Android. And that certainly doesn’t use JavaFX or Swing.
A modern Java course would be much more useful if it concentrated primarily on Android.
Java still has its demand
It’s one of the most widely adopted programming languages, used by some 9 million developers and running on 7 billion devices worldwide.
Sounds like a solution. Now a lot of people use one time help with homework on Java on sites such as https://www.computersciencehomeworkhelpers.com/help-with-java-homework-assignments to get a quick solution. Although a solution like Bootcamp can be great to gain long- term knowledge and proficiency in this programming language
