24 Hours Left To Support Our Crowdfunding Campaign On Net Neutrality: Now With Stretch Goals

In the last 24 hours or so, you guys came through in an amazing way to shoot us past our target goal in our crowdfunding campaign to support our net neutrality reporting. Following yesterday’s amazing post from former Congressional staffer Jen Hoelzer about how much reporting like Techdirt’s can make a difference in DC, there was a flood of support, which was great. There’s still another 24 hours or so to go in the initial campaign and we’ve decided to add some stretch goals, because all the crowdfunding kids are doing it (and we can’t resist the peer pressure).

Is the super-secret goal finalized yet?

It’s a Dark Helmet thong-back bikini calendar….

Dude! Do I need to send you a dictionary with the word “surprise” highlighted?
Re: Re: Re: Re:
Oh, I haven’t mentioned what the surprise within the calendar is going to be, but I’m pretty sure everyone can guess…
Re: Re: Re:2 Re:
New stretch goal:
$80,000 – To avoid ever having to see the Dark Helmet thong-back bikini calendar.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, ALL OF IT!
$80,000 – To avoid ever having to see the Dark Helmet thong-back bikini calendar.
Heh. Now wouldn’t that be a fair bit of incentive to get us up and over $80k? 🙂 I like it.
I’m somewhat confused, I’m not the only one to think that the two middle goals are in reverse order, right? It seems that a monthly Q&A would take more effort, and thus be more ‘valuable’, than a spreadsheet.

No. Infographic (which is a hell of a lot more than a “spreadsheet”) is a lot of work…
Re: Re: Re:
Plus, it’d be way more fun to interact with backers than putting together the infographic. So if you want to punish us, contribute more!
Re: Re: Re: Re:
Pictures of yourself in a thong-back bikini are NOT forms of infographic.
Somebody please help this reach 80k Y_Y
Re: Re: Re:
Fair enough, now that I think about it such a thing would take a lot more work than setting up a Q&A. Not sure why I called it a spreadsheet either, mental dictionary must have been on the fritz when I typed that out.
Any matching funds left to unlock?
That would certainly be a motivator for some (like me) to donate now that the goal has been met.
Also would be interested in knowing how much to get a text ad on some or all of the upcoming net-neut (net-newt?) articles.
Re: Any matching funds left to unlock?
When I last went to Japan I caught a newt in a net. I felt guilty afterwards.

At this point we’ve exhausted the matching funds… but maybe you can convince someone else to match whatever you donate. 😉

Stretch marks
If the stretch goals are not met, will the campaign have stretch marks?
Re: Stretch marks
I think that only happens if the goals are met after the money has been delivered.
Re: Re: Stretch marks
I guess no one got the pun?
