Next-Gen WiFi Proposal Approved
The IEEE has approved the draft for the 802.11n standard, the next-generation WiFi spec that uses multiple antennas to support speeds up to 600Mbps at greater range than current a/b/g products. It could take as long as a year for the standard to be finalized and fully approved, but chip companies are already announcing products based on it, saying they’ll be upgraded to meet the final version.
