From Mobile Phone Protests To Mobile Phone Riots In Bangladesh

The folks in Bangladesh sure do take their mobile phone service seriously. Just a couple weeks ago they were out protesting the high prices of mobile service, and when state-owned Teletalk Bangladesh offered up a cheap promotion, they came out in droves. Too many droves, in fact, and Teletalk could only handle about 20% of the assembled crowd, which meant that the others got upset and started to riot. Get the feeling there’s demand for mobile service in developing nations?
