People Hate Others Using Mobile Phones, But Happy They Can Do So Themselves

This probably isn’t all that surprising, but a majority of people surveyed complain that they’re annoyed by people who use mobile phones in public places, but at the same time go on to talk about how wonderful phones are for making it more convenient for them to communicate. It sounds like the typical study about drivers where the vast majority think they’re above average drivers. It seems like the vast majority of mobile phone users think they are better than average at keeping their public mobile phone conversations private. About 40% of those surveyed think that there should be a law (which already does exist in NYC, though, it’s rarely, if ever, enforced) saying you can’t use a mobile phone in places like restaurants, museums or theaters.
