Justice Department Not Keen On Doing Hollywood's Dirty Work

Someone from the Justice Department is suggesting that they’re not thrilled by the idea of doing Hollywood’s dirty work for them. This is following Orrin Hatch’s Pirate Act which would allow the Justice Department to handle copyright violations, despite them being a private dispute between two private parties. Still, while the Justice Department doesn’t seem all that interested in busting down doors of people who are file sharing, they are worried that the “anticopyright faction” is going too far. Of course, that’s lumping all of those who want intellectual property reform into one big stereotype — when there are plenty of different views concerning the need for reform, some more reasonable than others.
