Roaming Starts To Come To For Fee WiFi

One of the biggest criticisms for WiFi (after the fact that there’s any charge at all) is that the various for-free WiFi systems haven’t done much to enable roaming. That appears to be changing, however, as the major telcos all seem to be signing initial WiFi roaming deals that they hope will encourage more users to pay for their WiFi networks. So far, however, the deals are fairly small, and don’t really matter too much when most telcos seem to be sharing the same bunch of Wayport hotspots. Still, if the telcos can come up with a true roaming solution among the different carriers, and start to bundle service at a very low rate with their other offerings, it could become a fairly compelling offer for many.
