Can You Hear This Politician Now? – The Republican Version

Nextel may have sponsored both the Republican and Democratic conventions in the US, but Verizon is getting all the press. Last week we wrote about all of the expensive preparations they made to make sure you could “hear me now” in Boston around the convention center. This week, their PR people seem to have simply copied the original Boston article, done a search and replace with Republican for Democrat, New York for Boston and Madison Square Garden for the Fleet Center, and voila, instant article on Verizon Wireless’ preparations for the Republican National Convention, complete with upgraded towers and “cells on wheels,” which I imagine are making the trek from Boston down to NY. Hell, it even cost exactly $2 million to do the upgrades in both places.
