Wireless Carriers Need To Cross The Chasm
Somewhat related to recent posts about wireless carriers maybe possibly figuring out that they should encourage 3G usage, rather than trying to nickel and dime early adopters to death, comes this new study stating the obvious: the future of 3G systems isn’t going to be based on early adopter users, who are the least loyal, but the late adopters who will only jump when they see the real value. In other words, carriers need to stop worrying so much about how to attract the early adopters at ridiculously high prices, and focus on appealing to a mass audience who will be the customers who really make them money.
