Anti-Theft Device For Handbags
from the lock-down-time dept
Ever get the feeling that we’re increasingly in “lock down everything” mode? It seems that we keep needing to lock down more things with more sophisticated locks – and yet, we never feel much safer. Now, a design student has come up with a plan for a fingerprint scanner on a handbag to try to deter thieves from stealing the bag or simply pickpocketing stuff out of the bag while the owner isn’t looking. Next, we’ll need a similar device at the wallet level. There has already been talk about a voice-activated credit card, so adding this to lock down your cash is the next step, apparently.

So I steal the WHOLE bag & cut it open.
Re: No Subject Given
Or do it the fun way: steal the whole bag and cut off the owner’s finger. See, that’s why I dislike biometrics. Imagine what a really greedy thief would do to steal your irisscan-protected luxury vehicle…
I think I’ll stick to just being robbed.
