Giving away services for free can be a great way to drum up business. Especially when the services aren’t particularly cheap. (Must. Resist. Urge to plug Techdirt Corporate Intelligence… oh well.) So to encourage growth in the grid computing market, IBM is starting to offer FREE grid computing. Hopefully, we’ll get more folding@home-like projects, or maybe just cooler-looking movies from grid render farms.
