Sprint Follows Suit With More Flexible Pricing

That didn’t take long. Just days after Nextel announced plans to automatically bump up tiers for users who go beyond their allotted minutes (to avoid ridiculous per minute charges), Sprint PCS has announced their own, more flexible pricing plans that seem to make more sense than the Nextel plans. With Sprint, if you go over the minutes in your plan, instead of just charging you super high per minute fees, they automatically give you a new block of minutes at a reduced price. So, basically, there will still be overage fees – it’s just that they’ve now been reduced to a much more reasonable amount (five to ten cents per minute).
